Finished in mid-century modern, with the grain left where you can see it. Sheesham is the wood Saharanpur is known for: dense North Indian rosewood, deep brown, and the first choice of our carvers. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 18 x 16 x 24 in (46 x 41 x 61 cm) and weighs about 16.7 kg.
