Sheesham Wood Hand-Carved Nightstand 2

A sheesham wood hand-carved nightstand 2 built to order in solid sheesham in our Saharanpur workshop. Marro rustic farmhouse 3-drawer nightstand with leaves pattern carved. Finished in walnut, with the grain left where you can see it. Sheesham is the wood Saharanpur is known for: dense North Indian rosewood, deep brown, and the first choice of our carvers. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 18 x 16 x 24 in (46 x 41 x 61 cm) and weighs about 16.7 kg.
