Mango Wood Round Pendant Light

A mango wood round pendant light in solid mango wood, made one at a time rather than run off a line. Sculptural Archer pendant with artisan-crafted slats of light mango wood arranged in a wave pattern, grounded by a matte black metal frame. Finished in light wood with matte black frame, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 12 x 12 x 14 in (30 x 30 x 36 cm) and weighs about 3.1 kg.
