Mango Wood Pendant Light 8

A mango wood pendant light 8 in solid mango wood, made one at a time rather than run off a line. 5/6-Light Linear Black Wooden Kitchen Island Pendant Light. Finished in honey, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 12 x 12 x 14 in (30 x 30 x 36 cm) and weighs about 3.1 kg.
