A sheesham wood tufted office chair built to order in solid sheesham in our Saharanpur workshop. Swain 46.5'' H Traditional Faux Leather Executive Chair with Solid Wood Base and Tufted Back. Finished in walnut, with the grain left where you can see it. Sheesham is the wood Saharanpur is known for: dense North Indian rosewood, deep brown, and the first choice of our carvers. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 22 x 24 x 40 in (56 x 61 x 102 cm) and weighs about 42.6 kg.
