Sheesham Wood 6-Drawer Vertical Chest

A sheesham wood 6-drawer vertical chest built to order in solid sheesham in our Saharanpur workshop. Orpha 40 inch wide 6-drawer solid wood vertical chest with ball bearing glides. Finished in walnut, with the grain left where you can see it. Sheesham is the wood Saharanpur is known for: dense North Indian rosewood, deep brown, and the first choice of our carvers. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 36 x 18 x 36 in (91 x 46 x 91 cm) and weighs about 56.4 kg.
