Mango Wood Vanity Stool/Ottoman

A mango wood vanity stool/ottoman in solid mango wood, made one at a time rather than run off a line. Loviisa curved mango wood vanity stool or ottoman. Finished in honey, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 26 x 28 x 32 in (66 x 71 x 81 cm) and weighs about 23.7 kg.
