Mango Wood Table Lamp 4

A mango wood table lamp 4 in solid mango wood, cut, joined and finished by hand. Fidel solid wood tripod table lamp. Finished in honey, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 12 x 12 x 22 in (30 x 30 x 56 cm) and weighs about 4.8 kg.
