Sheesham Wood Table Lamp

A sheesham wood table lamp built to order in solid sheesham in our Saharanpur workshop. Stela solid wood novelty lamp, 17 inch walnut table lamp. Finished in walnut, with the grain left where you can see it. Sheesham is the wood Saharanpur is known for: dense North Indian rosewood, deep brown, and the first choice of our carvers. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 12 x 12 x 22 in (30 x 30 x 56 cm) and weighs about 6.4 kg.
