Mango Wood Hand-Carved TV Stand

A mango wood hand-carved tv stand built to order in solid mango wood in our Saharanpur workshop. Sapa mid-century modern solid wood TV stand, 4-door media console with carved geometric fronts. Finished in honey, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 60 x 16 x 20 in (152 x 41 x 51 cm) and weighs about 27.3 kg.
