A mango wood hand-carved tv cabinet built to order in solid mango wood in our Saharanpur workshop. Vintage-style solid wood TV cabinet with hand-carved detailing across the cabinet fronts; finished with environmentally friendly, low-odor, formaldehyde-free paint. Finished in vintage carved finish, environmentally friendly paint, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 60 x 16 x 20 in (152 x 41 x 51 cm) and weighs about 27.3 kg.
