Mango Wood Hand-Carved Pot Sculpture

A mango wood hand-carved pot sculpture in solid mango wood, made the way furniture was made before it was flat-packed. Eddystone hand carved tribal boho wood pot sculpture. Finished in honey, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 10 x 10 x 14 in (25 x 25 x 36 cm) and weighs about 2.1 kg.
