A acacia wood platform bed in solid acacia, cut, joined and finished by hand. Low-profile platform bed crafted from solid acacia wood with a live-edge panel headboard and iron sled base. No box spring needed. Finished in natural woodgrain, live-edge headboard, with the grain left where you can see it. Acacia is hard-wearing, with a grain that runs pale gold to deep brown across a single board. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 78 x 84 x 42 in (198 x 213 x 107 cm) and weighs about 194.8 kg.
