Acacia Wood Daybed

A acacia wood daybed built to order in solid acacia in our Saharanpur workshop. Baxton Studio Carmiya scalloped daybed, twin size wooden frame with rattan panels, arched boho coastal style. Finished in natural, with the grain left where you can see it. Acacia is hard-wearing, with a grain that runs pale gold to deep brown across a single board. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 78 x 84 x 42 in (198 x 213 x 107 cm) and weighs about 194.8 kg.
