Acacia Wood End Table

A acacia wood end table in solid acacia, cut, joined and finished by hand. Sculptural end table crafted from a solid acacia tree stump, making a natural design statement with a twisted hourglass silhouette and rich golden wood tones; kiln-dried finish. Finished in golden natural tone, kiln-dried finish, with the grain left where you can see it. Acacia is hard-wearing, with a grain that runs pale gold to deep brown across a single board. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 18 x 18 x 24 in (46 x 46 x 61 cm) and weighs about 12.8 kg.
