Teak Wood Entryway Bench

A teak wood entryway bench in solid teak, cut, joined and finished by hand. Branford handmade upholstered white-washed mango wood entryway accent bench. Finished in white-washed, with the grain left where you can see it. Teak carries its own oils, which is why it takes heat, damp and years of use better than anything else we work with. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 18 x 18 x 24 in (46 x 46 x 61 cm) and weighs about 12.1 kg.
