A acacia wood chest of drawers / dresser in solid acacia, made the way furniture was made before it was flat-packed. Mid-century modern 6-drawer chest with acacia wood species, splayed legs, metal ball-bearing glides, tip-over restraint device included. Finished in visible woodgrain, metal knobs, with the grain left where you can see it. Acacia is hard-wearing, with a grain that runs pale gold to deep brown across a single board. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 48 x 18 x 32 in (122 x 46 x 81 cm) and weighs about 52.2 kg.
