A acacia wood cane sofa in solid acacia, made the way furniture was made before it was flat-packed. Statement sofa featuring French cane detailing on a wood frame. Finished in natural, with the grain left where you can see it. Acacia is hard-wearing, with a grain that runs pale gold to deep brown across a single board. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 120 x 36 x 32 in (305 x 91 x 81 cm) and weighs about 163.1 kg.
