Sisal Cat Bed / End Table

A teak wood storage cat bed / end table built to order in solid teak in our Saharanpur workshop. Elegant wood cat bed that doubles as an end table or nightstand, featuring two curved sisal scratch panels, a machine-washable cushion, an inner storage shelf, and replaceable parts. Finished in natural teak, with the grain left where you can see it. Teak carries its own oils, which is why it takes heat, damp and years of use better than anything else we work with. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 20 x 16 x 10 in (51 x 41 x 25 cm) and weighs about 5.3 kg.
