A teak wood outdoor chair 3 in solid teak, cut, joined and finished by hand. Mallory Outdoor Adirondack Chair. Finished in natural teak, with the grain left where you can see it. Teak carries its own oils, which is why it takes heat, damp and years of use better than anything else we work with. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 26 x 28 x 34 in (66 x 71 x 86 cm) and weighs about 41.4 kg.
