Shonta 90.5 inch traditional chenille and silk-like fabric sofa with faux crystal tufted design, elegant nailhead trim, cherry and gold finish wood frame. Finished in cherry & gold, with the grain left where you can see it. Sheesham is the wood Saharanpur is known for: dense North Indian rosewood, deep brown, and the first choice of our carvers. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 78 x 34 x 32 in (198 x 86 x 81 cm) and weighs about 114.0 kg.
