Origami-inspired round dining table with pebble-shaped top on four angled legs, crafted from kiln-dried solid wood; seats 4. Finished in natural wood grain, with the grain left where you can see it. Sheesham is the wood Saharanpur is known for: dense North Indian rosewood, deep brown, and the first choice of our carvers. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 72 x 36 x 30 in (183 x 91 x 76 cm) and weighs about 104.5 kg.
