Mango Wood Round Tiered Plant Stand

A mango wood round tiered plant stand built to order in solid mango wood in our Saharanpur workshop. Modern staggered plant stand with three round tabletops at different heights, hand-crafted by skilled artisans in India from solid mango wood, each piece showing individual woodgrain variation; usable for plants, decor, books, or candles. Finished in natural woodgrain, varied finish, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 12 x 12 x 24 in (30 x 30 x 61 cm) and weighs about 5.3 kg.
