Mango Wood Round Dining Table

A mango wood round dining table in solid mango wood, made the way furniture was made before it was flat-packed. Round mixed-geometric dining table crafted entirely from solid mango wood; seats 4, rounded legs, visible wood knots for rustic character. Finished in natural woodgrain, rounded legs, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 72 x 36 x 30 in (183 x 91 x 76 cm) and weighs about 79.0 kg.
