Mango Wood Hand-Carved Charger Plate Set

A mango wood hand-carved charger plate set in solid mango wood, cut, joined and finished by hand. Set of four carved mango wood charger plates with intricate floral mandala detailing and a natural wood finish, for layering under dinnerware or styling special-occasion tables. Finished in natural wood finish, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 10 x 10 x 1 in (25 x 25 x 3 cm) and weighs about 0.7 kg.
