Mango Wood Bookcase 2

A mango wood bookcase 2 in solid mango wood, made one at a time rather than run off a line. Amherst 30 inch wide solid wood 5 shelf bookcase with adjustable shelves. Finished in honey, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 32 x 14 x 60 in (81 x 36 x 152 cm) and weighs about 32.8 kg.
