The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 12 x 8 x 6 in (30 x 20 x 15 cm) and weighs about 1.0 kg.
