Rattan Lounge Chair

A acacia wood lounge chair in solid acacia, cut, joined and finished by hand. Tula wood rattan lounge chair in brown. Finished in brown, with the grain left where you can see it. Acacia is hard-wearing, with a grain that runs pale gold to deep brown across a single board. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 30 x 34 x 34 in (76 x 86 x 86 cm) and weighs about 40.9 kg.
